Hasbro Cooking Up Follow Up Series to Transformers Prime - Beat Hunters

As discussed HERE, Transformers Prime is working its way into its 3rd and final season. With this sad news, there is some possible hope for the future. It appears Hasbro has applied for a "Beast Hunters" trademark, in both the action figure and entertainment services categories.

HOWEVER, it is unclear whether Beast Hunters is the title of a new Transformers series, or just a subtitle for Transformers Prime season 3.

Transformers Prime Season 3 to be the End of the Series

It is with great regret that I make this post, but it appears that Transformers Prime, the CG animated Transformers TV series that is currently running, will end after just 3 seasons.

This was confirmed by Tony Todd and Jeffery Combs, the voice actors for Deadwing and Ratchet, respectively.

More bad news: the final season is slated to only be 16 episodes!

Resident Evil: Retribution Movie Review

Okay guys, first off I have to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the Resident Evil movies (including Resident Evil: Degeneration, the animated movie, which was one of my favorites)...UNTIL NOW.

Resident Evil: Retribution makes me think that Paul W.S. Anderson is going through a divorce, has Alzheimer's, or is on crack.

RE: Retribution is essentially a highlights real of previous movies, recreating environments, bringing back bad guys, etc. What it lacks is conviction and what it is full of is inconsistency. Weapons, zombies, as well as characters are inconsistent throughout the movie. The acting is beyond poor and the one-liners, which I don't recall in the other movies, are worse than anything that has ever come out of Sylvester Stalone's mouth.

Not only did Resident Evil: Retribution not further the plot of the franchise, is possibly set it back. After watching this installment, it is evident that at least 1 or 2 of the previous movies happened in a controlled environment orchestrated by Umbrella, and perhaps ALL of the previous movies.

In closing, I did want to point out that Shawn Roberts (Wesker) has gained a lot of weight and looks ridiculous at the end of the movie, as he's stuffed (literally) into a black body suite.

Peaugh Reviews Mastermind Creations Knight Morpher Airborne Squad Awakening Version

Check out this review of the Mastermind Creations Knight Morpher Airborne Squad Awakening Version.

The robot mode looks nice, the transformation looks cool, but the alt. mode looks like an un-aerodynamic brick. This is an unpainted release of the figure, however, so perhaps the paint of the final figures will allow them to transcend their flaws.

Transformers 4 to Include Lots of New Robots, More Toys

Okay, so good or bad, Hasbro has announced that the Transformers 4 movie will feature a new set of robots. On the plus side, this means there will be a ton of new toys released with Transformers 4. On the down side, there is no word yet whether the original cast of robots (Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron, Starscream, etc.) will be included in the new movie. At the bare minimum I would love to at least see them all die; what I mean is that I don't just want to move on to a new story that forgets all about the old characters, but I can't see that happening.

This story appears to have been broken by our friends over at TFW2005 who were present at the UBS Best of Americas 2012 Conference, where they spoke with Brian Goldner, Hasbro's Chief Executive Officer.

Goldner also said that Transformers: Prime and Rescue Bots are also areas of the franchise that will be expanding. On a side note, Goldner also said there will be a Stretch Armstrong movie and TV series starting on 2014, for those who remember good old Stretch.
